What the reference establishes
A third-party reference describes V1.14 as an MT5 hedged-grid EA centered on XAUUSD, also mentioning BTCUSD setups. It reports independent buy/sell baskets, group profit targets, position limits, and equity controls. These descriptions have not been independently tested by YoForex.
Read the attributed referenceOne account, two baskets
A grid adds positions at defined price intervals. In a hedged arrangement, buy and sell trades may coexist, subject to the account’s position-accounting rules. A basket groups several positions for monitoring or closing. Managing each direction separately can simplify the program’s bookkeeping without reducing the account’s combined risk.
A group exit may close multiple trades when their combined result meets a condition. Closing a profitable basket can leave the losing side open. A rising balance therefore needs to be read alongside equity, which reflects open profit and loss.
Hedging does not erase exposure
Equal and opposite positions may reduce net directional exposure at a moment in time, but gross volume still creates costs and may consume margin. Unequal volumes, staggered entries, and different exit times change the hedge as the strategy runs.
If the price continues away from one basket, adding trades can increase floating losses. Financing and spread costs can grow while the system waits. A broker may liquidate positions when margin becomes insufficient, before a hoped-for recovery or basket target occurs.
Monitoring basket-level protection
Examine position limits, maximum total volume, equity-stop behavior, and how the EA resumes after a restart. Confirm whether a stop blocks new entries, closes existing trades, or both. None of those actions guarantees its requested price.
Test an extended one-way move and a period of repeated reversals. Log each basket separately and then combine them into account-level equity and margin records. A test ending with an unfinished losing basket can conceal exposure if only closed trades are examined.
Execution, testing, and remaining questions
Evaluate Private EA using the exact broker contract, software release, and inputs intended for use. Include spread, commission, financing, slippage, volume steps, margin, and rejected orders. A historical simulation and a demo forward test answer different questions; neither establishes future live profitability.
Before drawing conclusions, independently confirm entry conditions, exit priority, maximum simultaneous exposure, stop behavior, and recovery after a disconnect. Request current documentation and licensing terms from the relevant rights holder. The references are context for education, not a YoForex endorsement.
- Keep untouched data for an out-of-sample evaluation.
- Inspect equity and open positions, not only closed-trade balance.
- Test account-level limits during adverse movement and connection failures.
- Distinguish a reported feature from behavior observed in your own test.
Common questions
Can a hedged grid keep trading indefinitely?+
No. Finite margin, accumulated costs, adverse trends, and technical interruptions can force losses or liquidation. A hedge is an exposure-management technique, not an unlimited source of protection.
Has YoForex tested Private EA?+
No. This article distinguishes third-party descriptions from general educational analysis. We have not audited its code, verified a live account, or established profitability.
What should be confirmed before any live use?+
Confirm the exact release, legitimate licence, platform, broker contract, settings, and loss controls. Understand the possibility of substantial losses and test under realistic conditions. No test guarantees future results.
